the 243 ultra went out for the maiden voyage to the range last saturday. i used greenbox 80 grain soft points. 5 shots from the bench at 100 yards gave a 1" x 6" vertical string. i'd say a bit of forearm pressure is never good !, so it's time to do the o-ring thing.
also picked up one of those NcStar 1x45 model #DT145 red dots for $30. probably the worst 30 bucks i ever spent. can anyone tell me how to effectively use this thing ?, the point of impact doesnt seem to follow the dot if you move your eye off center a bit.
