The post on the tumbler, I aint retypin it , is a good post and an excellent thought. That wet/dry tumbler seems to be a real good choice fer tumbling and cleaning brass, plus it seems to be real well built.
I would like a little more information on exactly how you would set this up for reloading and how long ya would tumble--them folks what use it on rocks do it fer days an days. A reciept if'n ya will.

Williamlayton : I use my tumbler just to clean up the brass b-4 I run it thru my dies I will usually set it up full of brass the night b-4 I plan to do any loading and let run all night as I dont like to be in the same room with it running the noise just bothers me, so I do mine overnite, some may say its too long but what the hay, we dont all do it the same way, and yes it doesnt get the primer pockets clean that way as they are still in there if done b-4 you resize but I can live with that I just like clean brass to be used in my dies.

Do you add tha soap an all? What media do YOU use? I'm likin this thumblers tumbler more an more.

I use mine alot and have at times forgot and left it running for two days (its outside away from the house so I don't have to listen to it). After a couple days in corn media and a brass polish additive those suckers are like brass mirrors. I did use mine Thumblers Tumbler (that is tricky to type) to polish rocks for my son once. Works slick as hell but it takes about two weeks of constant running so you can figure that they are very well made......quite sure it will outlast the owner.

Williamlayton : Mine isnt the tumnler thumper I thought it was a miss speeling on your part I have a Lyman 1250 Pro. type and I use the green colored corn cob media and it seems to do all I ask of it, I have had some problems at first getting the media out of 222 and 223 and 22-250 brass due to the smaller hole but I get along with it, does a finer job on the larger cal. brass, cant imagine the headache it would be if I was reloading the 17 rem. again.

I really like using wet tumblers. I use stainless steel shot for media. Get some small enough to go in the primer pockets, so it won't get stuck there. I use Dawn dish soap, and plenty of water. Decap first or the cases never dry. Run them for 30-40 minutes, and they're done. I spread the cases out on a towel to dry and they're ready the next day. I've all but gotten away from my vibrating tumbler now, this is faster, and I don't have to inhale walnut dust or replace the media any more.

william - I am not sure as it is at home and I am at work but I will check. I originally bought it from MSC (industrial supply) because I get good pricing.
