HP Hunting rifle question.
« on: April 19, 2004, 11:13:30 AM »
Someone in or club is going to start shooting a 6.5BRin hunter silhouette. Is this a caliber that is allowed under our current rules?
Thanks

According to the book, it can't be a wildcat.

I don't know of any factory that ever produced loaded 6.5 BR ammunition. (It could have been done, I just don't know about it.)

IMO, unless he can show that loaded, factory ammunition in that caliber has been produced, he doesn't have a legal caliber.
