1911 Replacement Parts
« on: April 25, 2004, 07:11:33 AM »
Which company (Wilson, Brown, CMC, EGW) makes the best replacement parts for 1911's; e.g., slide stops, firing pins & stops, extractors, thumb safeties, grip safeties, etc.? I'm talking about non-MIM, machined bar stock parts.  :?

Wilson makes top notch of course, but you are paying extra for the name.  If it were me, I'd get a copy of the latest "Brownell's" catalog and go from there.

Nowlin, STI, Ed Brown, Baer, and many others make excellent parts.
