barrel freezing?
« on: December 15, 2005, 10:51:20 AM »
I was down at the recruiters office about a month ago and the master sargeant was telling me of how he had sent his barrel down to illinois or some place and had it frozen to line up all the molecules. He said he noticed considerable difference in the size of his groupings at 200 yards. Anybody know anything about this?

This is one of thous things mite or mite not work if it is needed then it may work the way it was explained to me was most likely it is not needed. Had a metallurgist go into detail one time made me belive it was the last thing to try.
