Hate to rain on your parade, BUT Harrington & Richardson went bankrupt, and out of business. They are the ones that made your gun. There is no one to send it back to. The current business is not affeliated with the old one, and will not make repairs. I know because I needed some work done on mine back in the mid 90s. lBest to take it to a compatent gunsmith. I have a H&R muzzleloader made on the same lines, using the same stock, side hammer, trigger, and sights. Only the breech area and barrel is differant. It's a beautiful piece of work, high luster finish on stock and metal. Even the metal buttplate. Back in the 70s when they were making the Trapdoor Springfield I wanted one, still wish I had gotten one then. I wanted the Officer's Carbine model, it had a shorter barrel, and a saddle ring on the left side. I ended up with the Blackpowder .58cal Springfield Stalker. It's a good gun. Very serviciable.
