Fuzzy, haven't tried the federals. Just got back from the range with my .22 Mag and my .17 HMR. In my .17 HMR the Hornadys shoot the best with the Remingtons in second place. If I had to shoot or hunt with the Remingtons I guess I could, just have to re-rweak the POI a bit and settle for a bit larger groups, but not by much. The CCI's I just used up as a noise maker and to help season the barrel, they dont shoot in my gun. I would like to try some Federals and have heard there are some 20 grain .17 MHR shells in the offing, anyone out there got any info on them?....<><....

NEF 17 Hummer

I bought a NEF sportster 17HMR last week. I put a simmons 3x9 prohunter scope on & shot some groups today. After sight in, I shot 4 five shot groups at 50yds. All groups less than 1/2"!!! I have a good trigger weight on mine. When I bought it, I had dealer bring all he had in stock out & I snag the one with the best trigger. WATCH OUT CROWS!!

I have yet to hear anybody with a bad 17 HMR.  Mine is the most accurate rimfire fifle that I have ever had.  NEF/H&R got this one right.

You fellas need to spend some time at RFC! The 20gr 17hmrs are expected late summer/fall. Midsouth is taking orders now.
