What should I expect......
« on: April 26, 2004, 04:39:28 PM »
Just bought an Mosin Nagant M39 stock and forearm in pristine condition.....nice wood and got a ton of accessories with it (e.g. cleaning rods, cleaning tips, sniper bolt, dog-collar sling, etc.), BUT......

I don't own an M39!!!!!

Well, you know what this means - NOW, I GOTTA BUY ONE!

Gimme some history, Guys and what should I expect accuracy wise, etc.......?  Or is this something I don't really need?

By the way, what do the notches in the "screwdriver tool" do?

Forgive my ignorance..........

The Finnish Mosin M39 is one of the best mosins ever made.  They started out as captured russian 91/30's and the finn's stripped them down and built them up to their specs with accuracy being the most important thing. They changed the stocks, the sights and the barrels.          BigBill

Like i said before 32 Finnish Soldiers held off 4,000 russian soldiers and the russians retreated with 3,600 left alive the finn's had their M39's.  Its all in "The Rifles of the White Death".

Now do you want a Finnish Mosin??

Sorry i left out what i read about them too the finn's making 600meter shots with M39's too!!!
