Orange .458 MMP Sabot Results

Well, finally I got to go un-wind and try these new sabots.

My first outing with them I woud say I was impressed - shooting a real rifle bullet out of the A&H.  Still haven't checked to see if I am creating enough velocity to get a good mushroom.

Accuracy was alright considering I was just shooting, by dropping the powder by volume, pushing the bullet and sabot down the barrel not placing in it in the barrel at the same point.

Another thing that has some effect on accuracy is shooting over the chrono, I am always concerned I am going to hit the darn thing so I spend more time verifying in the scope that I am in between and just under the diffusers

But here is the target, ask questions if you see something in question....

Guess I shouldn't have used blue ink on a blue target, sorry.

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - they are a blast....

I can't read much of your labels on the target, but that's some pretty good shooting. 75 yards? Not too shabby especially with the wind you had. That can throw you off some.

With those bullets, mushrooming is not necessary.
