Check into any of the on-line gun auction sites and check for current listings or do a search on Google for M1 carbine sites.

Some of the true military carbines are starting to fetch
a pretty hefty price. Especially if some of the accessories
are with it. Bayonet, flash hider, oiler, sling etc...
Mine is an Inland (General Motors) 1944 and is in pristine condition
so I really would not be interested in selling it anyway.
But I have seen some in the same condition go for $700 - $900.
When I bought it, The lady said her husband had carried it in
WWII. It even had one of the Mags still loaded with Lake City
1943 ammo.

Ask the fellers over on Jouster.com's M1 Carbine forum about the value, but if it was mine, I'd keep it.  The value of true GI carbines just keeps going up!  It's a good investment.  Prices are so high down here, I ended up with a nice clone as a shooter (not a Universal!).  One day, I hope to find a GI model for a better price.   8)
