Has anyone been able to handle one of the new Topper  Deluxe Classic shotguns yet?   If so let's hear a report.

I'd be interested in finding out what they are selling for too.

Thanks

I called customer service Friday afternoon and they said that the gun would not be out for another month or so.  They also said that the barrel would not be available in the accessory program until early fall.  Originally I had been told that the barrels would be ready by April but I guess we can see that won't happen.

I was told that the list price will be about 225.  I check the Sports South website.  Of course there was none in stock but the list price was right around 225.  Hope this helps.

turkeyhunter,

I called H&R/NEF Customer Service a couple months ago on the Topper Deluxe Classic, the MSRP is $213. I have heard from a couple places that they would be selling them for $160 to $170. Looks like we will be up against the old supply and demand thing on this one!

Yep, I know.  I have been drooling over that barrel ever since I heard about it.  It will make the perfect turkey rig!!  I just hope I can get one before next turkey season.

The gentleman that I spoke to told me that he thought the price of the barrel through the accessory program was going to be in the range of $65.  He also told me that if I did not want the screw in choke I could just ask them to deduct that price from the barrel.  I will probably do that so I can use a ported choke and reduce recoil!  Those 3.5's hurt!!! :)  :)

I think that barrel would look great on my Topper's nickel receiver, and I already have a set of choke tubes for my Mossberg 500 that would fit that barrel.   Looks like my Topper will be taking a little trip to Mass sometime in the future.

I've cot a couple of the limited edition Pardners with the blued receivers instead of the case hardened ones.

I was wondereing what that barrel would like like on a blued receiver, so I did a little cutting and pasting and came up with this:

Of course, I'd have to buy the American Black walnut stock to make it look like that, but it's something to think about.

Moonlitin...
Every time I see that picture of the Classic it reminds me of an over and under :-) . What a bargain that would be if they decided to sell  one. I bet it would get the attention of the trap/skeet shooters and make the manufacturers of these guns nervous. Kind of like when word got out of a $250.00 rifle named Handi, producing sub 1" groups at 100yds   :)
