If the PM cards are post-marked by the 5th will they fly? I've had bad luck getting time and good weather on the same day!

OK
Now that I have my glasses on I can see that 1 in front of the 5. whew!

I definitely need the time. My 30-30 loads so far have been terrible. I couldn't get more than 4  holes on a card. The 760 powder I tried today was about 10 inch group.
 I'll keep trying.

RV,it sounds like something is loose on your rifle or your scope isnt holding zero.maybe try some factory ammo in your rifle again just to see if the groups get smaller.

Vance, is the 30-30 barrel one that you bought on the accessory program?  The reason I ask is because if you are switching barrels and you get the forearm screw either too tight or too loose, that could be contributing to your problem.

I'd go with what Jeff suggested first though.  Check all of your mounting screws and make sure that they are tight.  You might even try another scope just to be sure.

Good luck and I hope you get 'er figgered out.

I don't believe it is a scope problem because some of my test loads are shooting 3-1/2 inches, some 2 inches, then there is the 150 gr FMJ spitzer over 32 grains of 760 with magnum rifle primers. (TEN INCHES)
I think it's finding the load combination that will be the trick.
I'll try some 748 next payday, and perhaps some BL-C2 that Jeff seems to be have good luck with.
  Thanks for the suggestions.

vance, it is likely that you will find 760 to be a bit slow for the 30-30. Might work ok with cast bullets, but is not the best for jacketed and full velocity. 748, BL-C2, AA 2495 to as quick as 3031 and Reloder 7. I have not had a chance to try any, but Alliants new Reloder 10, if it falls in the range it number suggests, may make a good powder too. It would be hard to go wrong with BL-C2. I'm getting very good results with WC846 (uses BL-C2 data) BL-C2 has a long history of being a good 30-30 powder.
