Being a guy who has multiple historic interests, I have to admit that the number of swords/medieval weapons in my house out number the firearms 2 to 1.  I only own 2 guns (shotguns) that are of a design post 1900.  I have plenty of pre-1899 designs, which according to my wife has the house protected in case some native americans attack-she has Cherokee in her family tree, so politically correct for her humor.  Anyway, I am also ready in case barbarians-wait, I actually prefer the barbarians, so incase some civilized feudal society attacks, I can fend them off at the barbican.  (I have a total of 10 firearms, so you guys can do the math on the swords/medieval weapons).  I am betting an intruder in my house would prefer to be shot than hit with my spiked ball and chain, quite a wicked weapon.

Sounds like we got us anuther one a them slice 'n dice fellers.  They's always tryin' ta get an "edge" on someone or somethin', or they's "honin'" a "keen" sense a humor, or practicin' their "cuttin'" sarcasm, or "mincin'" words, or starin "daggers", or "butcherin'" their grammar (or grampa, for that matter).  Anyway ya "slice" it, theys never a "dull" moment with them guys.  Ever notice how they always seem ta have a bandage on one a their fingers?

Just funnin', MO.  Please don't "sever" our on-line GBO relationship over this.

Hamp, what has a couple a cuttin' tools hisownself, but nowhere near as many as ol' MO.

PS  My son (Hamp Jr. the Austin Cop) tells me how unbelievably fast a perp with a knife can close a considerable distance and get within cutting range and ruin your whole day if you aren't observant of your surroundings.
