Encore 220 Swift barrel and Millet Buck Gold Scope
« on: May 04, 2004, 07:52:44 AM »
I had posed this under the optics discussion but didn't get anywhere:

Looking at a Millet scope for my 220 Swift encore barrel. Don't want to spend a ton of money, but want a decent scope. Looked at all makes and models this weekend and found Millet scopes were nice looking optics.

Anyone had good or bad experiences with their scopes? Looked at a 4-12x AO or the 6-18x AO.

Also looking at the Buckmaster version in Nikon's line.  They're somewhat more expensive but more than likely worth the money.

Do you need a scope with AO's at the higher power or will a basic 3-9x do the trick?

Just in need of some good references.  8)

Thanks,

Josh

Kentone...That's funny you mentioned the Grand Slam. Of all the scopes I looked at this weekend if I had the money that was the one I'd have gotten. Simply the most clear, bright model under $400.

Makes me wonder if I should have bought one over the Var-X II I put on my rifle this winter.
