converting springfield 03+rebarrel savage

I've got a couple questions first of all i've got a springfield 1903 that i've considered rebarrelling to a 411 hawk/scoville or prehaps a 375 Whelen improved, how difficult a project would that be? with my reckoning the only modification would be the new barrel and before y'all go on about high or low numbers yes it is a high number RIA, so plenty safe for 50,000psi. the second question would be rebarreling a savage 11g. it is currently a 308 win but i'm considering rebarreling it to a 243 AI or 6mm rem mainly as a longer range coyote\wolf gun. I understand that with the savages barrel locking nut it isn't a difficult job and is nearly as easy as a switch barrel gun. I guided a fellow last deer season (nov) that said he'd done it "a bunch of times"( his words). but  he also said he has shot and hit a deer at 400yds and missed a great whitetail at less than 50 so   any way it's an idea, but the 308 did knock down two wolves for me this winter and without a lot of fur damage, i was using Hirtenberg 7.65x51 NATO FMJ and the shots were 167yds and 211yds both laser ranged  and the last one a second shot to anchor him ,so i don't really need a new gun the you know us gun nuts.

The 411 and 375 on the 30-06 are difficult rounds to load for but do an excellant job.  The only added difficulty with a rebarrel is that it may be difficult to find short chamber barrels for these calibers.  Meaning the threads would need to be lathe cut..  reamers are also a bit harder to fins but can be rented.  The Savages are quite easy to change once the barrel is removed for the first time.  They sometimes tourque that nut down pretty tight but once it's off, the job becomes much easier.  Some makers even make barrels specifically for the Savages, and you can sometime get by with just headspace guages...  Of course you need that new rifle, the others are getting old!!  A real gunnut doesn't need no stinkin' reason!
