I believe Browning is no longer making the Hi-Power, only parent company FN is marketing them now. I've been thinking about picking one up, possibly in .40S&W, but may just opt for the classic "9mm". Anybody own one of these new production Hi-Powers, with all the bells and whistles? What are your thoughts, opinions on this pistol? What is the fit/finish/quality of the pistol like today? I own an original Inglis Hi-Power that I wouldn't part with for a second, but am interested in getting a second that I don't have to baby or worry about destroying its collector value. Any and all comments welcome. Thanks!

Get one they are inexpensive and if you don't like it enough you can send it to Ted Yost for a face lift...

don't see much on custom guns here do we? I kind of like em and am considering such, not so much for the BBQ aspect but for the reliability and looks.

Also take a look at Cylinder & Slide (www.cylinder-slide.com). Don't know about now, but Bill Laughridge was "The Man" on Hi-Power mods for many years. Not cheap, but beautiful work. I've got one (done maybe 15 years ago, full "carry" work-up) and will never part with it. Peter F.
