Model # 3902 ??
« on: May 09, 2004, 10:46:54 AM »
First let me introduce myself. My name is Shane, I'm an avid hunter but my passion is Turkey Hunt'n I live in Texas. Had a good friend from Louisiana come hunt with me here in Texas this Spring Turkey Season and he shoots a TC Encore 12ga. I had never really payed much attention to the T/C Encores, but after I saw his and then shot it...that was it...I'M GET'N ONE!!! Fell in love with it. And yes....I will be getting more toys for it....gonna have to get the .270 and maybe a .220 swift.

Ok, now here is my question. Do any of you know if the # 3902 12 ga. turkey gun has the action camo'd or is the action blued??? If the action is Camo....that's the one I'm getting, if not....will get the SS action and build from there. Thanks and glad I found the board. Sure I'll have plenty of questions and comments soon.

Don't know model #'s, but I have seen the camo receiver model for sale on Gun Broker.  Mine is the stainless--couldn't be happier with it.

Shott
According to T/C's catalog the #3902 is a "24in barrel, camo frame, composite stock with Realtree hardwoods camo, fiber optic sights, 3in chamber"
This is right from the 2004 catalog
Hope I helped

I absolutely smoked 'em this year with mine Shane.  It kicks a little but toting a 6lb turkey gun all day is worth a little recoil at the bench.  I had my forcing cone lengthened and the barrel polished by Rhino down here in Florida.  I also added one of their chokes and it is a killer!  I was getting around 150 pellets in a 10" circle at 40 yards with Winchester HV #6's.  The turkeys don't like it at all!
