Bausch & Lomb Elite 20-60x70mm Spotting Scope for $439?
« on: May 12, 2004, 06:40:57 AM »
I found the spotting for $439 at a reputable shop.
This seems like a pretty good price for the scope.

I saw on The Optic Zone, which is quite popular here and reputable as well, the 20-60x60mm is going for $479.

Any thoughts, or am I missing something about the 70mm version?
Is the 60mm "better glass" or is the price possibly mismarked?

Like I said, I know TOZ has some good deals and pricing is quite fair when compared to other stores...so I'm a bit baffled here.

Lemme know what you all think.

I just realized that is a misprint and there is no 20-60x60mm B&L Elite Spotting Scope.

Should be 70mm I believe.

No I believe it is supposed to be 20-60x80mm. If so, it is the same one I have and yes that's a good price on what is the best spotting scope I've ever looked thru. I'd sure not take that for mine.

In the elite series there are three spotting scopes. a 20-60x80, 20-60x70, and a 15-45x60. The 80mm does have ED glass which does make it a little better quality. The second two are very nice models also and are a little slimmer so they are  easier to pack and hall around. The 70mm model is worth every bit of $439.
