This is my encouragement message to anyone who shot cards and hate your groups and don't want to send them in.

Well, I hate my groups, too, but without some others like me I have no one to compete against for 15th place. Come on, send em in, time is running out.

Ok, nuff said.

That's right guys. Get 'em in here. It doesn't matter how good or bad they are, I want to see 'em.

I'll give anyone a run for their money for last place with my new 45-70. I haven't had enough of a chance to work with it yet to get it shooting real tight groups.

Well I might well send in my card for 21 place, last chance to shoot.
first 3 shots less than 1/2 inch. next 2 opened it up to 2inchs.
I think I was rushing my shots. Marv.

i just floated the barrel on my 223 maybe i'll give it one last shot but i don't know about my other guns my hand loads for the 30-06 are sucking and slugs for the ultra 12 is $12 a box :shock: but if i get a day with little wind (not likely) i'll shoot em and send them in on the 14 at midnight

Well I got my card off today...and it was a chore to do too.My range time got cut do to a large contingent of "FEDS" doing their range time....man is ihard to concentrate when you got several large magnum sniper rifles just a few feet away from you.... :eek:

For those who haven't sent them in...only 2 days left ......and as the old saying goes..."Your burning daylight...better get a move on... :lol: "

Mine's all ready (22mag sportster), not that good (described in rimfire forum), but it's the best I can do for this match. I put it off way too long! And I didn't realize how much fun it is to shoot the 3x5 cards with a 'X' on them, but I do now! I'm going to stop buying targets and just shoot up a bunch of 3x5 cards left over from the wifes college. I'll get an index card holder where I can store the cards, sectioned per rifle, dated, load info, etc.

All I need it is the address (I sent wlscott a pm).

Just got a card mail awhile ago. I think I come about 21 st
place. Maybe next year Ican work on it more, And get the

Scruffy et al,

Any large office supply store will have Avery dots for coding files. I got 400 1 1/8" in blaze orange for $4. They are way cheaper than the same thing in gun stores.

Gonna have to dig around for a file box to use your idea. I'm not near as good about reloading logs as I should be, but it's no trouble to note the load data for a good load on a target card and drop it in the box.

Not only is it hard to concentrate, depending on the caliber they shoot. When one of those guys lets loose with the ported 300 Win mag it's hard to hold your rifle on the darn stand.

What is a surprise to me is the fact that my son RV hasn't sent in at least 500 cards (as much as he shoots). He shoots more in one week than I have shot in my entire life.

Leftoverdj may be the biggest contributer to his delinquency; he keeps RV in bullets and gunpowder.

How am I supposed to sleep when he starts shooting at day break. :shock:

Marv and Jeff,

We used to roll our own from sack tobacco; Vance rolls his own bullets. He lets me shoot, but I'm not catching on to those scopes too quickly. In the hills where I was raised, I learned to shoot quick or the game would escape. I had to aim before shouldering the shot gun. I didn't realize that there is a science to shooting.

In the Air Force I barely qualified with the M1 Carbine. I was used to the open sights or no sights on a shot gun.

I hope I am not too old to learn something new. The scope is nice. It'll take some getting used to.
