I am assuming since T/C is selling barrels in this caliber they have his permission. So what do you think he would recommend a full on custom barrel or the factory made barrel in this caliber? What are the major differences between the two? Just wondering I may even call JD and ask.

I would assume that SSK uses better barrel blanks and probably fine tunes things especially the throat. I have a very old 375 JDJ that I need to send to them for inspection and possible repair.  I really miss shooting it.
....make it count

I'm also guessing...mind you guessing, but I suspect that the chambers on the SSK barrels are to much more minimum specs.  From the velocity reports I have read my 20" SSK barrel is shooting at about the same velocity as the 23" T/C barrel with similar loads.
