Spotting scope recommendation

I am after a spotting scope and would appreciate any feedback on preferred options. I am not looking in the "Leica" price bracket at this stage (with a young family) but rather a good performing mid-priced optic. Thanks Nigel.

Burris makes a decent spotting scope (well below Kowa in price) and large Astronomical binoculars 70 to 100mm objectives are also a good choice. Buy a good tripod, your money will be well spent. Rbump
