Burris Fullfied ll or Sightron Sll
« on: May 29, 2004, 03:37:07 PM »
Been looking on E-Bay at both scopes and can't make up my mind.  I like that Burris is US made but heard bad things about service.  The Fullfield ll also comes with that rangefinder which I always found kind of a gimmick.  The Sightron Sll interest me because I always liked optics from Japan.  The scope will be going on a 308 deer rifle.  The land I hunt is in the Ozarks and I don't hunt low light much, to many deer to worry about getting up early.

I have a Burris 3-9x40 FFII Bal Plex, nice scope, excellent for the price range. Optic Zone has it for <$200 and you get a free 20x50 spotter. Don't have a Sightron but I have read that they have an excellent no questions asked replacement policy if you have problems. Burris also has a lifetime warranty replacement and I have read service is better now than previously. Here's a review on the 3-9x40FFII.
