Can anyone recommend a book(s) that deal with handgun hunting-they may or may not include reloading info. Thanks!

I highly recommend Mark Hamptons, and one from about 4-5 yrs ago called Hunting for Hnadgunners by JD Hones of SSK fame. Hamptons is teh newest and up to date. If you like hunting stories by HUNTERS join Handgun Hunters International and you'll get a quarterly paper stocked full of really neat articles, not to mention things that are new on the market.
The first shot is the best shot, it may be your only shot!  Do it with a single-shot.

I have read both JD Jone's book and Mark Hampton's book.  I have read JD's book a couple of times.  I would recommend both books.  You will find that you will go back to both for reference several times as you hunt different game and buy different handguns.  I am also a member of HHI which publishes "THE SIXGUNNER"  excellent reloading information, mainly SSK calibers but also the standard rounds.

I've read both books and think they are great.  Right before Christmas I was searching for a used copy of A Man Called Lion and found a book called Handgun Hunting by Lee Jurras and George Nonte.  It looks like it was written in late 70's early 80's.  :-D
The only thing you should feel when shooting insurgents is recoil.

I bought Marks book [ Handgun Hunting- How to travel the world in pursuit of wild game ] several months ago and I found it very enjoyable and informitive.  He covers the wide range  of availible handguns from sixguns to automatics to the single shots.  He covers handgun hunting from small game to the biggest in the world.  From the back yard hunts to the expensive guided hunts of Alaska and Africa. I personaly will probly never go to Africa  to handgun hunt but I  still enjoy the stories of those who have.  I would highly recomend Marks book.
I also have Hunting For Handgunners by Larry Kelly and J.D. Jones.  I would also recomend this book.  It has become well worn with repeted readings.   Lone Hunter
