This morning I was duck hunting and had something happen that I have never seen before.
A mallard drake flew over and I shot him and only broke a wing (steel :x ). The duck was falling and flapping as it was going down and it hit a tree branch about 60 yards away. After it hit the tree it fell to the water and I saw two splashes from the impact. I didn't think much about the splashes at the time.
I went over to pick the duck up and the it was decapitated. His head was floating about 3 feet from its body. :eek: :shock: It appears that he hit the tree branch with his head and off it went.
Kind of a unique situation.
