Where can I locate a Sporster in 17 HMR?

I have been checking in the Springfield, MO area for a Sportster in 17 HMR. Wal-Mart and so forth do not have and being told they can not get them. Wal-Mart salesperson told me to just buy what they have and be happy. I declined to buy the Marlin as I have heard of some issues. Prefer the single shot as I have a Ultra 25-06 and it is superb.  Any ideas will be appreciated. Sorry guys and gals, but I am only able to check back on this email about once a week.

It seems like the NEF in .17HMR is as scarce as the proverbial hens teeth. A lot of people are wanting them but it seems no one can find them. You might turn one up on one of the gun auction sites or check out shotgun news. :(  :D

Varmitcaller........Not sure if you have any Gander Mt. stores nearby,, but I just had them get me a sportster 22 mag a couple weeks ago. They did a online search of all their stores inventory for me while I waited on the phone, an finally located "one rifle" in Iowa and had it shipped to Ohio for me.  Great service for a great price...$113.99  that included the shipping.
The 17 is harder to come by from what I read here and other forums,,but you can't go wrong trying Gander Mt.  Good Luck.
Nice shooting little gun too,,,,I've got not quite 2 boxes through it,,CCI maxi mag V,, and last evening I shot a 5 shot inch and a quarter group at 70 yds from a bench. I scoped my gun with a 20 plus year old Tasco 3-9x32 scope I had laying around.

We have them in Iowa, the sheels in Iowa city has atleast one, and I think the sportsmans warehouse in ankeny has a few also.

Ran across a 17 today at a place called Gamalliel shooting supply in Gamalliel Ky. I took a short cut and got lost this is a little wide place in the road but first rate supply house. Any way they have a web sit www.gamaliel.com or ww.shootingsupplies.com. I wasn't really lost but that was the dangest short cut I've taken in a long time. I think the price tag was $150.00. :-)

Mike's Gun Shop in Pensacola Florida has scads of them. Synthetic Bull Barrel for I believe $119.00  Call 850-478-1129, ask for Tom or Kurt. Tell them Dale told you to call.
