Yesterday I read a post that the winner of a new MOA pistol at the 2003 International still was waiting to get the prize.
MOA's are great pistols if you have ever shot one you most likely would agree with that. However for a gun to be a production gun it was supposed to be readily available to the public.
Does a one year wait from order to actually getting the gun seem readily available to you?
If the MOA wasn't so good it probably wouldn't matter but the guns most likely to win freestyle production according to Joe Tesmers articles are the MOA's and the BF's. Why is easily understandable, both are falling block actions, about a stiff as you can get without a bolt action, and both have excellent sights, triggers and barrels. Eben has been working on reducing the time between order and delivery on the BF's but it is still a wait.
Do you think this wait time is detrimental to recruiting new members? After all if you have a newby show up in May and he has to wait until next season before he can get a new "top gun" this might be discouraging.
