I have a carbine chambered for this round. Being a rimless, it is ideal for a semi-auto or lever application, IMO. I don't think I would load 45 colt brass to the same pressure, but people do. For a TC, I guess it isn't any better or worse than the colt.
Wonderful round, I only wish someone would chamber a CZ clone in it. Unfortunately, everyone seems to think the 10mm is magical or something.
One thing, starline brass has a standard 45ACP style rim. Win brass has a different dimension, and you will need a special shellholder for it, and likewise some bolts (in semis) prefer one or the other. Lee shellholder is number 2A, while the 45ACP shellholder is number 2. RCBS may or may not offer a special shellholder.
Aside from that, you can load it with a combination of 45 colt and 45acp dies.
