can a b.o.s.s be put on a ruger m77 mkII .243 win  ??
if so how would i go about ordering the boss

I would suppose so depending on the barrels measurements.  Speak with browning customer service to see if the Boss system is a available as an aftermarket item..  If not you'll need to advertise for one that's been removed or catch one on the internet auction sights..  Brownells has some boss parts listed..

Somebody came up to the bench next to me at the range today and started shooting a 375 H&H with a boss on it.  That was the loudest thing I ever heard even with muffs on.  Glad I was packing up at the time.

I had heard at one time that Browning quit putting the boss on hunting guns and was only putting them on target guns because of the noise.  Do not know it this is true or not.

Not trying to discourage you, just passing on some info.

they reduced the number of boss eequiped weapons produced and started producing a non-vented sleeve to keep the accuracy addition but lose the noise.
