Ok here is an easy one   ...Which has the better glass out of all of them and withstands recoil the best ? .Forget a scope with Posi-lock I will not own it. Which has best eye relief?   Its being mounted on a 7 STW and will be a combination gun both Deer(Mulie and Whitetail) and Elk so it has to be versatile.

My vote would be for the Elite 4200 4x-16x-40mm.  I have this scope mounted on my 7mm Ultra Mag, which has similar recoil to your STW.  The gun groups so well at 100 yards that, when turned up to 16x, you can easily see that the 3 bullets are touching each other!  This scope has 3.5" of eye relief and it seems just fine because even after shooting about a box of ammo, I didn't get hit.

Some people like higher magnification scopes - I'm one of them.  You can use 16x on those long shots at mule deer, or set it back on 4x for those close shots on elk.

You can also get a Zeiss Conquest 3x-9x-40mm, which has about the same quality of optics, and everything else, as the Elite 4200.  The 3x-9x Conquest has 4" of constant eye relief - if you feel that you need it.

I honestly don't know anything about the new Burris Select, but I DO own a couple of Black Diamonds, and my Elite 4200 and Conquest are noticeably clearer and brighter than the Burris.

Zachary..I am thinking this Bushnell is pretty comparable to the Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x44. Same Eye Relief a little longer and 2 ounces heavier

I agree, but you didn't mention the Conquest as one of the three scopes to compare.  That's one of the reason that, when I do buy a conquest, I only buy it in the 3x-9x-40 model because all of the other models have about the same eye relief as the 4200 4x-16x-40 (or 50)mm, yet the Elites cost much less.

I have a 3x-9x conquest that I will mount on a Tikka T3 Stainless Synthetic in .300WSM.  Combining the kick of a .300WSM with the lightweight of the T3, it should be noticeable (or at least more noticeable than usual.)

Zachary,  Thats what I wanted to hear. I have the 3-9x40 Conquest already but I doubted the higher power conquests were that much better then the Elite or Nikon. Thanks for the info.
