Hey boy'z. I have option possably to get a 10" 45 win mag barrel for my contender. What do you guys know about this caliber? Say compared to the 44 mag. You know accuracy, energy stuff like that. appreciate any info!   Half

The 45 Win Mag is a very good round. It did not get good repour with shooters because it was not made in very many guns. It is very very close to and equal to the 44 MAG in power. Just like all rounds you will have to work up a good load. 250 and 260 gr. bullets work well.
If  you're going to make a hole, make it a big one.

I have a 14" barrel it is a real shooter it loves 250 gr bullet over Blue Dot.
