Woodchucks in Maine?
« on: June 15, 2004, 04:00:39 AM »
I have hunted Maine for deer, bear and small game in the fall. I have always wondered if some of the big farms in Maine have good woodchuck hunting?

I notice some really big fields in southern Maine and I have wondered about the potato fields of Aroostook county. Anyone care to comment? Any response would be appreciated. Thank you.

When I lived in Aroostoock Co on my uncles farm we used to see GH's but we didn't see them in the potato fields, we'd see them in the hay and oat fields though. I don't know but my guess is that they would also be found in the brocchli fields too, I'm sure if they are the farmers wouldn't mind you cleaning a few out. I just got a 22WMR and would like to find a few good places to hunt GH's too. I see them all the time along I-95.
