Does H&R sen an email notification that they have recieved your gun and will be working on it? UPS delivered it last Thursday and so far I've heard nothing, is this typical ?

I have never received an e-mail notification, I have always gotten a letter/postcard (so-called snail mail) about 2 weeks after the they received the gun. I checked this by sending in a receiver USPS Priority Mail (it got there overnight!!) with delivery confirmation, which gave me the date and TIME it was delivered. I received a letter almost 14 days later saying they had received the gun....for what its worth....<><....

Not really, it still leaves the mystery of why it takes so long to let you know they received your rifle.

Just give 'em a call,
have your SN number ready
and they will tell you what they know. However, next time I am just gonna follow it on the UPS site on the net and know they got it. But if you are anxious, give them a call!
