.222 Contender carbine
« on: June 18, 2004, 09:33:41 AM »
Range report on .222 contender carbine. After about a dozen rounds & moving to 25 yds I got it to hit paper. After 100 yards this is how it shot. Five 3 shot groups all under 3/4". Hand load was my standard that has worked for numerous .222's.

Speer 50 gn. TNT
20.0 gn 4198
Rem Brass
Rem Small rifle match primer

Gotta love that 4198 in a .222! Try some 50 grain Nosler b/t's or Sierra blitzkings, they're both awesome out of my 10" .222. Mike
