Looks like they both are retail for close to 200 bucks and you can get either one for for around a c note...you'd spend 200 for either one anyway normally...get them both and send one to me...(either one..I won't be picky) and I'll tell ya how I like it.....and you can even switch if ya want to later......kill two birds with one stone...  Hey I'm just gettin to ya before MSP-Ret does.... :)

Put my vote down for the Bushnell, I've owned both brands and like the optics better on the Bushnell.

Have two of the Simmons 44 Mags. One on a Handi 30-06 and one on a Savage .270 Have had no problem with either and would buy another. You can usually get them at riflescopes.com for $99. plus shipping. Have got both of mine from there and rec'd both in less than a week. Have another model Bushnell on a Ultra 25-06 and like it, too. Bought it locally at Wally World.

Buckslayer:

I don't know if you've ever got a chance to look thru one of these scopes...but if you did I think you would be impressed as all get out ,when you did...it's a little bit more than those you asked about...but I have one on my 308 and it works great......check it out here... http://www.natchezss.com/category.cfm?contentID=productList&category=20&brand=SN&mfgGroup=472&subgroup=1954

I have used a ton of different scopes in my time...but I'm truely impressed with this one for a budget priced scope.

I have a 44 Mag I got of Ebay for $45 and mounted it on my 223 Ultra.  Could use a little more eye relief to suit me but otherwise vey nice.  Clear too.
