As discussed in a a review by Gun Tests Magazine, the early Kimber II with the Schwartz system trigger pull was affected by the degree to which the grip safety was depressed.  If you like, I will find the article and give more details - suffice to say, later reviews by same magazine seemingly say the problem is solved.  My gunsmith advised there is no correlation, my humble opinion is from the reference in Gun Tests.

The Kimber really isn't an exact "Schwartz" system.  It's the series "80" Colt's "Schwartz" system that adds some friction to the trigger pull.  As I understand the mechanics, the Kimber system does not affect the trigger pull.
