I'm going to be just south of Pittsburg,Pa first week of august..Can any of you gents get me permission someplace nearby to do some chuck hunting?..I use a 22 250 rem & prefer long shots from the edges. I did my first chuck hunting outside of Scranton 30 years ago..I'd really appreciate hearing from someone who could set me up on a couple of recently cut hayfields..We grow mostly houses & golf courses here in Ct..So I'd be hard pressed to re-pay the favor.. But A striped bass fishing trip on my little center console Scout is not out of the question...Late june to october we get some pretty good light tackle & fly fishing out on long Island sound...Thanks In advance, Mike in Ct

Well it's been almost two weeks and nobody had a better plan yet, so what do you think of this?

If you're heading home on a Friday or Saturday we could meet somewhere around Lewistown.  It's about the middle of PA.  
Lots of groundhogs in that area and farmers are glad to have ya.
If we agree to meet there I'll have already spoken to a couple farmers ahead of time.  It should be no problem to have many hundreds of acres.

I waited on purpose because my plan isn't exactly what you were asking for.  But if nothing better comes up and it fits your schedule, then lets do it.

I'm heading back home on thurs. morning that week..I wonder if I can stretch out this trip to make a varmint safari out of that drive??...I'll check a map & my calendar..Thanks for the offer..mike
