Lee C459-405-HB cast of half lead/half wheelweights.
Cast bullets for Handi barrels gotta be fat.

While I don't have the pleasure of owning a Handi in 45-70 ...yet :wink: ..my favorite cast 45-70 bullet for my Marlin Guide gun is a Cast Performance .459 dia. 405 grain WLNGC...man does it penatrate stumps....

my favorite is this lyman hollow point #457122 in 330 gr weight. I know most like the big heavies for this rifle, and I shoot them too, but this is my bread and butter load. Very accurate and and gives me 1600 fps in front of 50 grs Varget. I have a good .jpg of this bullet but haven't learned how to post a picture on this forum. Any advice would be appreciated.

i favor the lyman 457193 420 grain bullet. it shoots good with unique and lyman moly lube or plain old bee's wax.
