This is my first post. After stumbling onto this site and having some experience with the Win. M190 (and 290) I thought I'd put my 2c worth in. Being a tinkerer, I've had occasion to try to figure out problems with various firearms and have found J.B. Wood's "Take Down and Reassembly Guides" to be an invaluable resource. A friend once gave me a Win M190 to look at because it was going full-auto on him. It turns out that a relative thought he could improve the trigger pull by filing the top lobe on the hammer. After some investigation, I figured out the problem, and with the help of the photos I built up the hump with some weld, recontoured it until it functioned and put it all back together. Another instance found me with a Rem Nylon 66 with a broken bolt handle which I was able to repair with the help of the "Guide" but I'LL Post that story following another post I saw requesting parts info for the Nylon 66.
