Has anybody tried to put rifle cartridges in the .410 Tamer stock?
I'm wondering if 30-06 based cases would go in the shellholders, or maybe 30-30?

I don't have one to test but awhile back I measured a .410 and .270win round with my micrometer and they were only a few thousands difference.  Since the .270 and 30-06 are the same case, it should be the same.  So unless my micrometer (or user error....) is mistaken, the 30-06 shell should fit.

At one time I thought of putting a Tamer for a .410 on my 45-70 and carrying extra 45-70 rounds in it....<><....
