using a rem. 405 gr, JSP., please give me your experienced suggestions on obtaining 1500 fps from my 22 " barreled 45-70 using IMR 4198 or H 4895....is a filler necessary when using the IMR 4198? thanks much for all your help.

The Lyman manual shows a start load of 38.7 grains of H4198 which should put you at 1594 fps. The max for H4198 is 44 grains @ 1788 fps.
