Thats a very good question Dusty. Bad news- good news kinda thing. Bad news is i hit him back cause he took a step as i released, good news is i was using a buckblaster and caught the artery that runs just under the spine [ buckblasters have a 2 3/4" cutting diameter]. If i woulda hit the pig where i was aiming, the mud would have stopped the arrow, not to mention the shield. This is not the first time blasters have saved the day for me. This boar went about 40 yards and expired.
Howie, the bow is a Mathews LX, arrows are Beeman ics 340s, rest is whisker biscut, broadheads are Buckblasters, thunderheads and muzzy 4 blade- all in 125 gr., truefire release, string loop, kisser button. Bow weight is at about 65 lbs. And yes my adrenaline was certainly pumping!!! Tad
