It ain't the years, its the miles. Been doing this off and on for the past 25 years. I've learned a lot on the way, but just a drop in the bucket compared to some of these old farts in this forum. The more I've learned, the more I realize how little I know. You can always learn something new or different. It doesn't hurt to experiment.
If a tree falls in the woods and my wife is not there to hear it...is it still my fault?

I started trapping in the water 35 years ago when we were allowed 100 beaver tags per year in Oregon, held a full time job and caught and put up my 100 beaver plus numerous rats, coon, and mink. There was no one to as questions to back then and if there was it was a snipe hunt. It took me several years to become proficitant in the water so in 1976 when coyote fur was hot I took instructions off a top trapper in Montana and started trapping coyote then the market fell out on longhair fur so I went to work with the govt ADC program and trapped with them for 16 years and am now retired doing what I love to do, Trap coyote and cats here in the state of Oregon.

I'm 42 now and been trapping most years since I was about 10. Took off a couple years around 18 to do some dumb stuff that teenagers sometimes do.  Those early years with dad are some of the best memories I have.  That is why helping kids get started is so important to me.

my first  year at it was 69 so I've been at it 35 years minus my overseas duty so that 31 years.
