Lead Free Pellets????

I have tried three types of lead free pellets from two different manufactures(types 1 & 2 from HydraVelocity and Prometheus) in 2 different calibers(.177 & .22) in both low and high powered air guns(rifles and pistols) with less than desirable results.  Accuracy was sub-par(at best) and penetration was less than what I was getting with lead pellets.  Has anyone else here tried them and if so what were your results?  Lawdog

Several months ago, I had considered getting some of them until I ran across this article:

Based on testimonials from this forum (GBO, that is) and other sites, I switched to Crow Magnums and got a lot better results (vs. squirrels) than the gold-coated Silver Bears I was using.
