It's a good idea, Grouse. With the groups you've been shooting, though, you might not be all that worried.
I use a range rod at the range (duh), the one that Knight sells with the rotating handle. I can feel the sabot rotating down the bore, and the only flyers I have are due to the nut behind the butt. :cry:
But, having the head rotate directly with the ogive is a great idea, and it is a lot easier just to carry the "RAT" in a pocket on a trip or in the field than a range rod-- and it makes it far more difficult to seat a sabot incorrectly.
