Test shots

Just returned from test firing some new toys!
Number one is an EAA Bounty Hunter 22/22MAG
Man I'll tell you what I was shocked by the fit and finish of this erocopy
Made in traditional German quality Excellent!
Extremely accurate! Given all the nice attributes of my new nickel plated sissy pistol I believe I am going to order up two in 45 Colt!

Second was the new "cannon" a S&W Model 29 gonna figure on building a wheeled carriage for this thing! Good God! I usually don't mind recoil but this thing was not very fun to shoot!

Third Winchester "White Box" 357 ammo from Wally world.....
Ummm I had three boxes from three different lots and here is what I found.
Most every round was over pressure the primers were severely flattened and the primer dimples were more like craters with metal flow into the firing pin hole. this same condition occured with two different S&W 686 pistols my old duty weapon and a friends newer 686-6 custom shop seven shooter, both are in great repair and clean no fouling in either.
Word to the wise I would steer clear of this ammo.

Put a set of Pachmayr or Hogue rubber grips on the 29 - helps tame it a bunch.  I also shoot a handload that's not quite as hot as factory but still plenty enough for most work - 15.0 gr of Blue Dot under a 250 gr hard cast Keith bullet.

The 29 came with Pachmayers they are a bit thin for me.
I like the presentation wood myself.
I will give that load a try though!

Never really wanted a 44 to be honest but the price was right
275 cash and carry from the original owner.
Guy I have known for years.

I personally like to shoot 44 Special out of it much more fun to shoot not quite the cannon then.
