what gun would you want if chasing a wounded hog my set up

Howie, how do you mount the optronics light on your 12 gauge and how does it take the recoil. I have an optronics 100 yard model and it is designed to be mounted on a scope.  My 1300 Winchester pump has a one inch millet red dot sight on it that I atach my light to and this makes a good set up.

hey  friend  yes  we  live  colose  arent  these  east  texas  hog  woods  great!!!!,  i  also  have  the  100  yard  compact  i mount mine underneath  on  the  magazine  tube  and  mount  my  sticky tape  to  the  pump  I  am  left  handed  so  i mount  mine  on  the  left  hands  side  about  in  the  middle  where  i  can  hit  the  switch  with  a  finger  ill  try  to  get  some  pictures  to  ya  today  you  can  buy new  sticky  at  wal-mart  in  the fabrics section  it  come  bulk packed  or  you  can  buy  it  for 276  i  buy  the  industrial strength vel-cro   it  handles  real  well under recoil  and  since  yours  is  lighter  it  will  handle  recoil much better  than  mine  does  as  the  more  weight  it  sends  it  into  more  motion  i take  my red lensoff  as  it  will  pop  off  from reacoil   i  put  my  battery  pack  either  in  my  pocket  or  on  a   belt  hope  this helps

You shotgun guys, if you reload, you can make sabot slugs really cheap. I cast my own with the lyman mould and they fit in a wad cup. no more leading! They look like a BIG air gun pellet and when cast from wheel weights, are very hard and penetrate very good. I tried some in a rifled barrel on my mossberg [just like howies], and got a ragged hole at 25 yards. I would be happy to share more info if anyone is interested. I also loaded some light, and they are very pleasant to shoot!
