I am considering buying a 22 MAG custom barrel in 24" length, is this length too long for this caliber, I wonder if I am loosing velocity with the longer barrel, most barrels I have seen on the 22 MAG have been around 20", for some reason I think that in a smaller caliber like this if your barrel length is longer than the optimum length your burning too much barrel and would this result in a loos of velocity and affect your trajectory as an ending result, am I corrrect in thinking this way. The barrel I am considering is already made to this length but I know that i could have it shortned and recrowned if needed.
