30-30 Winchester ammo!

New York Hunter:

That new ammo sure looks like a kick in the pants for the 30-30.  I have put in a stock pile of Remington 150 grain ammo for my Marlin because that is what it likes.  It is clear to me that different lots from the same manufacture change point of impact in my 30-30.  At one time Federal was the most accurate in the rifle, but that change.  Non of them are bad.

I'll have to try the new Win. ammo.

I have tried all factory loads I can get my hands on and the best in my particular 336 just happens to be Remington Express 150gr core-lokt soft point. I sight in at 75 yrds and took a nice buck last year while it was raining right at dark at around 195-205 yards. I don't hunt with it much but it is truly a gun I will never trade off...The 2-7 Nikon looks good on top of it too :)
