I was in a little windfall last night above two trails that came together and out to a powerline. Then two does came up the trail to me and the wind hit the back of my neck... you know what happend then. see ya! busted. I had the wind perfect all night until they came. The really funny thing is that it went back to normal after that. That is why they call it hunting and not shopping i guess.
Cheers,

I got busted by a young buck Monday that i didn't see when i tried to draw on a doe.  I hunted a different stand yesterday and was fortunate to harvest a doe because the wind kept changing on me, just so happened that when she came in the wind was in my face and several min after that it was on my back. We have a hurricane kicking off the coast here in NC and the wind is stirring around pretty good.

I am in Georgia. I have been heading out, but I don't have anything but public land right now... these deer have been taught a thing or two  :)

I hung up a tarsal gland from the buck I killed Monday about 10 yards from my stand on the edge of a field.  When a doe came walking into the field from the opposite side, 100 yards away, she caught wind of it and came walking right up to 20 yards from me.  She looked around for the buck for a while, then got spooky when she didn't see him and began to catch wind of me!
