Saw 3 boxes of the above referenced ammunition and thought it would be nice to have 140gr and all.  When I looked at the ammunition it had what looked like graphite on the bullet.  What is that stuff and do I want to have it in my gun barrel?  Thanks  Buckfever

The coating on the bullets is called molybdenum, or "moly" for short. It is supposed to provide some lubrication to bullets and provide better velocity from a given powder charge. IMO, the mess it makes in your barrel is a greater negative than any small increase in velocity you might get. The way I see it, this is just another fad in bullets that will go by the wayside rather quickly (the Fed Premium TB Bearclaws were discontinued, eh?). However, there are others that really like the moly-coated bullets. It's all a matter of preference, I suppose.
There is no more humbling experience for man than to be fully immersed in nature's artistry.

Thanks for the informative answer.  Liked the idea of a premium bullet but no MOLY goes in the T3's barrel.   Buckfever
